Paul, Natalie and Sam rasing money for Cataholics at the Scarecrow Festival 2010.

By the time this photograph was taken, we had almost run out of tombola prizes and things to sell. It had been a very successful event for us, with a total of £301.10 being raised for Cataholics. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the weather was kind, the rain holding off until just after the close of the festival.

The many visitors who came to the event had plenty of entertainment to keep them happy, as well as the scary scarecrows, open gardens and a wonderful flower festival in the church.

The Lark Agility dogs display on Sunday was brilliant and caused a lot of laughter, as the arena had been erected on the site of the previous evening's hog roast; without exception, each dog lost their concentration at the point where the roast had been served as they picked up the scent of crackling!

The point of the festival is that villagers and visitors alike should have fun, whilst raising much needed funds for several charities. It certainly fulfilled its purpose!

Cataholics would like to thank the organisers for all their hard work and for inviting us to participate in this great, fun, event.
